Hello, I’m Jacky and my mission is to see you thrive after a late ADHD discovery ❤️
I want you to know that discovering you have ADHD in midlife can be the start of your best life – just like it was for me!
But before I knew I had ADHD things were very different. I lived with overwhelm, self-doubt, imposter syndrome, out-of-control emotions, the never-ending (and hopeless!) struggle to get caught up, get organised and remember all the things…
And these are just some of the issues women with undiagnosed ADHD face, thinking it’s simply the way life is. Hard! Because we haven’t found the missing piece of the puzzle, we don’t know why some life skills are a mystery to us, which makes it really difficult to improve things!
And the worst thing? We think we’re defective. We think we’re not good enough. We think it’s all our fault. I want you to know IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT!
I succeeded in my legal career through sheer force of will.
But I felt anything but successful, accomplished, or confident on the inside. After all, I knew how hard I had to work just to appear to stay afloat and stop all the pieces of my life from flying apart.
Does this sound like the story of your life too?
When I finally realised I’d been living with undiagnosed ADHD all along I went through so many emotions:
- Relief that my life finally made sense, that I wasn’t defective or broken.
- Anger that it took so long to find out.
- And grief for the life I could have lived. For all the things I would have done – or done differently – if I’d only known it was just that I simply wasn’t wired like the folks who write the rules.
Perhaps this is where you are now?
I started to read everything I could find about ADHD. I learned everything I could about the emotional impact of lifelong undiagnosed/untreated ADHD on women.
I re-examined my life and discovered unhealthy patterns that had repeated themselves again and again over the years. I uncovered the hidden programming running my life.
And over time I learned how to turn my life around, heal and write a new and joyful story for myself.
And that’s exactly what Late to the ADHD Party is all about.
It’s about empowering you to learn how to heal from the very real emotional impacts of living with undiagnosed ADHD for so long.
It’s about inspiring you to dream and believe in a brighter, more joyful future for yourself. And encouraging you to create a new story for your life.
Are you ready to get started? It’s time to flourish!
